Take a glimpse into a few future projects Winery 5280 will be launching in 2025.

Our “Finest Red” and our “For the Brave” line of apparel is part of our community outreach project called “For the Brave”. This project has two parts to it. The first is to remind the families of our fallen soldiers, law enforcement officers, and first responders that their lost loved one is not forgotten. We want them to know that their sacrifice was not in vain, that we are grateful for their courage and dedication, and that they will be remembered.
Winery 5280 creates a single case of wine per year specifically for this. These bottles are engraved with the name of the individual soldier, law enforcement officer or first responder that we have chosen, wrapped in a black label, and contain the simple phrase “Never Forgotten” with the image of the Military Burial Flag. The backside of the label contains honoring information about that fallen hero and the courage and bravery they demonstrated.
These annual 12 bottles are filled with “Our Finest Red”- an exclusive red blend that only fills these 12 bottles. It has been made to be excellent even if it is never tasted. Every month 1 bottle is sent to a designated family member of the fallen hero to remind them that their own loss was not in vain either. If any bottle is returned or rejected, that bottle is placed on our wall in the winery, never to be opened but always to be respected.
Along with honoring our fallen heroes personally, we are dedicated to contributing a portion of the proceeds from our “For the Brave” merchandise and sales of our wines made from Washington grapes, to the foundations Wounded Warrior Project, Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation, Operation Homefront, and the Gary Sinise Foundation. Profit percentages from all sales will go to these foundations.

Our NʌTIVE project will consist of our Colorado wines made from western slope and estate grown grapes, and a line of apparel that is focused on supporting our Colorado wilderness and resources. Our Colorado wines are the central focus of this project with each bottle having a symbol on it. NʌTIVE consists of 5 symbols, and each symbol represents a different part of the Colorado outdoors and land use. Every purchase of wine or merchandise entails a portion of the profits being given to various state foundations and operations that take care of our rugged environment and keep it wild and protected.
• The symbol of a fish will represent Colorado Parks and Wildlife. This agency provides wildlife conservation, recreation and education.
• The symbol of an elk will also represent Colorado Parks and Wildlife, but will be designated specifically for habitat stamps.
• The symbol of a fire will represent Colorado State Forest Service. This agency helps to rehabilitate wildfire torn areas, and keep our forests healthy.
• The symbol of a helicopter will represent Colorado Search and Rescue. Colorado Search and Rescue is made up of backcountry search and rescue members that volunteer their time to help educate, collaborate, and coordinate with various outdoor and backcountry matters.
• The symbol of a farm represents the Colorado Farm Bureau Foundation. This foundation protects Colorado’s farmland and helps farms devastated from natural disasters.
