Winery 5280 is a family owned and operated winery located in Loveland, Colorado.  We keep our foundation rooted in God and are always looking for the ways that He is working in our lives.  We believe the winery is more than just wine.  It is an opportunity for us to be the hands and feet of Christ to others.

What started out as a reference to Colorado and its landmark altitude, our name, Winery 5280, has evolved to mean something much deeper.  After thoughtful prayer about changing the name to alleviate confusion over a Loveland company referencing something in Denver (5280 being Denver’s elevation), God made it clear through the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 (Luke 9:10-17), that a name change is not what we needed, but rather a clearer understanding of our purpose.

Guiding us to reflect on this story, questions came to heart and mind.  How many loaves did Jesus use to feed the people (5), how many fish did He use (2), how many verses in the bible did Jesus use to tell the story (8), and how many people did Jesus leave hungry (0)? With this, the numbers in our name became much more than a Colorado identity, but the purpose behind Winery 5280.  Jesus says to “feed my sheep”(John 21:17).  Will you help us as we endeavor to “feed the 5280”?
